Exchange MDB Recovery is a command-line Exchange database recovery tool that allow you to repair your Exchange Server database file and dump its content to PST file without Exchnage Server.

It uses Extensible Storage Engine(ESE) to perfom recovery (often pronounced "Eazy" or "JET Blue"). In other words, there is no need to have installed Microsoft Exchange Server. You just need only some .dll's from Exchange binary directory: ese.dll, exchmem.dll, exosal.dll, jcb.dll.

You can perform "Soft Recovery" against databases - this process takes place when you mount crashed Exchange stores or when you "Replay" logs to database from snapshot backup. You also can perform "Hard Repair" against an Exchange Server database file such as the Priv.edb, Pub.edb that was really damaged because of hard drive disaster. But the most useful thing of this product is a possibility to carry out significant information form Exchange Server database file to a more mobile PST file - "Recovery email" without installed and run Exchange Server. It will help you to get readable form of mailboxes with its content from raw Exchange database. Output PST file will contain mailboxes with its content which you can open with Microsoft Outlook. This product was tested with and supports following versions of Exchange databases:
